Summer Florals

This summer I got to make a very bright and colourful fresh floral wedding order with my first fresh floral halos for bridesmaids!

The purples, pinks and ivory’s all work so well together with touches of greenery, makes the summer theme look natural, refreshing and beautiful.

The bridal cascade bouquet was mainly made with purple lisianthus, freesias, roses, ruscus and a touch of sparkle with the brooch and diamante trails. The bridesmaid bouquets were a mixture of roses, freesia’s and again a touch of sparkle too. The child bridesmaid halo were made with same flowers, so simple yet looks amazing! And not forgetting the grooms buttonhole with the ivory rose and purple lisianthus.

These colours work well together, looks great and still has my signature with the touches of sparkles!

For the love of Vintage!

This year I have totally loved making fresh vintage rose bouquets with bits of brooches, jewels, pearls and lace; it’s just so chic, classic and beautiful!

Below are some of my favourite ones, all made throughout various times of the year and still look amazing no matter what the British weather is like!

These fresh bouquets are made with avalanche roses, snowflake spray roses, African roses, freesias, calla lilies and all decorated with brooches, jewels, pearls, diamantes, and lace.

Beautiful bouquets that will never date in years to come!

Peacock Theme Bouquets and Buttonholes

This summer I got to do a theme which has also been on my list, a peacock theme. Many will say peacock feathers are bad luck for weddings, however the peacock colours are just beautiful, bold and vibrant.

I have taken the peacock theme to a new contemporary format, whereas in the past, the feathers were added in between the flowers which doesn’t really give a good finishing for the bouquets. Adding the feathers on top of the bouquets and on the handle, make it look more modern and contemporary, shows the theme off and the dashes of jewels and the brooch add that extra sparkle to the theme.

The collection consists of bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, buttonholes and decorated floral candelabras. Made with ivory avalanches and aspen roses, blue dyed roses, lisianthus, freesias, brooches, jewels, peacock feathers and foliage.

The Crystal Heart Bouquet

Valentine’s Day… the day we celebrate and thank our loved one’s for being there for us and is done so by cards, roses, chocolates, heart-shaped gifts and maybe even with a romantic meal too.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, I have created a bridal bouquet that will become a trend for future weddings especially for those that are getting married in February… a heart-shaped crystal bridal bouquet.

The bouquet is made from crystals in clear, red and ruby, with pearls and brooches too; the variety shades of red, crystals and brooches does bring Valentine’s Day to a new level especially to those that are planning to getting married on the 14th February in the future.

Royal Bridal Tea Party

As it is the year to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and every one is going jubilee crazy with all the flags, bunting, parties, cakes and all things British; I had to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee by creating a unique Jubilee bridal bouquet.

As us British love the Royal Family and a great party, I put together a photo shoot for this special occasion. The Jubilee bouquet was made with a silver diamond brooch, crystals, beads, pearls and Swarovski. Also made a fresh floral bouquet with roses, tulips, freesias and touches of blue pearls.

I hope you like my very own version of a royal bridal tea party and gives you inspiration for your own party and wedding ideas.

Ideas for your Sweet Valentine…

February 14th… a day of love, chocolates, flowers and maybe for some….disappointment.

Bollywood has got some of the blame for this disappointment, as we expect to have a song and dance about every joyous, happy and loving moment, changing sarees as many times as possible, running through fields, declaring our everlasting love for each other, whisked away to exotic locations, dancing in the rain and a finale of a happy ever after! But we can all still dream of this Bollywood fantasy to happen…one day.

But enough of this disappointment, doom and gloom, it is a day of telling your crush to be your valentine, sharing love with your loved one or whoever it may be, and a great day to treat yourself to chocolates, wine, listening to classic romantic melodies and watching chick flicks!

As there’s not long left to go till Valentine’s Day, here are some last minute Valentine floral ideas for you or your loved ones and those who are the DIY romantics.

Well you can always start off with a dozen or more roses, will put a smile on anyones face!

If you’re on a tight budget, you can always give a single red rose wrapped in organza and even use it for table deco for that romantic meal for two.

If you have got a left over cocktail glass lying around in your cupboards, use it up as a table centre piece, with either carnations, roses or any other flowers that are red of course.

This rose fish bowl is for the modern romantics! So simple to make, by tying up a small bunch of roses, placed into bowl, spray the bear grass gold and placed on to mirror and its done!

Want your loved one to walk to an amazing display of roses, this has got to be it. A tall vase with dozens of roses, will blow anyone away with this romantic gesture.

And now for the ultimate finale for Valentine’s, or maybe for another special romantic day……

A heart box filled with roses and the… RING!

I hope these have given you many ideas and no matter who you are spending the day with, hope everyone will have a great Valentine’s Day!

Festive Flowers

Christmas is only a week, it’s that time of the year, where we’re rushing around doing last-minute shopping, buying unbelievable amount of food as well as consuming it, and being merry.

The best thing for Christmas for me has to be decorating the Christmas tree with as many decorations as possible and wrapping the presents beautifully with the touches of ribbon, but this year I have a new best thing added to list, and that is festive flowers that are full of glitz and glam and make the home look even more ‘Christmassy’ whilst celebrating it with the family.

For those out there that like to be creative, or still haven’t thought about how to set your table, fireplace or living room, then fear not as I will show you some great ideas that I have seen whilst doing my own Christmas shopping.

The traditional red, green and gold deco, never can go wrong with these colours at Christmas. The arrangements add that touch of warmth with the colours and the cone, feathers, fruit and ribbon, this type of deco is a must for the those who like to be traditional during Christmas.

The modern home festive decorations with the ice white, blue, purple, black and silver, are beautiful for those who like to be contemporary and different, this would look fabulous for a christmas special ‘Come Dine with Me’, or maybe for those who love the attention during the festive period.

For the romantics at Christmas, this heart-shaped wreath will definitely brighten up your day when you arrive from work to your home, might be bit too cheesy for some, but will still put a smile on your face.

These have to be the best festive flower arrangements I have seen this year! These arrangements will look great for Christmas Eve/Day, parties and even for New Year celebrations. simple, modern and with all that jazz, and for your guests to swoon and admire whilst hosting your Christmas party.
