The Gatsby Bouquet

Making a new design isn’t easy even when you have done lots of research and planned out how to make it.
The Gatsby Bouquet has been a challenging bouquet to make, but overall when completed it look fabulous and hopefully the Gatsby himself would approve too.

The Gatsby Bouquet was inspired by the film itself where i loved all the Tiffany jewels, art deco and vintage inspiration and an on going theme for weddings too.
Here i have made a fully complete brooch bouquet, made with a variety of brooches with added pearls around; it is a must have bouquet for the bride that dares to be different! And even finished off with a monogram initial, which are new for this year and makes the bouquet more personal for the brides.

Peacock Theme Bouquets and Buttonholes

This summer I got to do a theme which has also been on my list, a peacock theme. Many will say peacock feathers are bad luck for weddings, however the peacock colours are just beautiful, bold and vibrant.

I have taken the peacock theme to a new contemporary format, whereas in the past, the feathers were added in between the flowers which doesn’t really give a good finishing for the bouquets. Adding the feathers on top of the bouquets and on the handle, make it look more modern and contemporary, shows the theme off and the dashes of jewels and the brooch add that extra sparkle to the theme.

The collection consists of bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, buttonholes and decorated floral candelabras. Made with ivory avalanches and aspen roses, blue dyed roses, lisianthus, freesias, brooches, jewels, peacock feathers and foliage.

The Mughal Inspired Shoot

I have been very behind on posting on my blog lately, now I am finally getting the time to catch up and show you all one of the shoots my bouquets have been featured in with many other wedding suppliers.

Thank you to Bhavna from Upendo Images for organising, taking photos and getting many wedding suppliers on board too; and she has done a great job as I am totally in love with this shoot and the concept; everything is perfect from the outifts, to the venue, styling and photography!

Also these have got to be one of the quickest and heaviest bouquets I have made for a photo shoot and these regal bouquets have been very popular for 2013 weddings!

Here are a few photos from the shoot and of bouquets, will look forward to working with Bhavna and these wedding suppliers again in the future.
